Personal Trainer Cost in Chiayi — A 2026 Guide

You probably found this page because you’re already thinking about hiring a trainer and just want to know roughly what it costs. Fair enough. We’re Green Box, in Taibao, Chiayi, and here’s what actually drives the price gap — including our own full price list, nothing hidden.

Here’s the bottom line: in 2026, one-on-one personal training in Taiwan runs about $1,200–2,500/class in the north and $800–1,500/class in the central-south; most of Chiayi sits in the central-south band. Green Box’s one-on-one is $1,300–1,800/class, with a first trial at $1,200.

Below we lay out what drives the gap, the real options here in Chiayi, and our own full price list and rules — all in one place.

02

The price gap comes down to four things

01Coach experience and international certificationCoaches holding international certifications like NSCA-CSCS or ACE-CPT usually charge $300–500 more than uncertified ones. A certification stands for a complete body of training knowledge and an ongoing requirement to keep learning.
02Session formatOne-on-one is the highest, one-on-two next, small-group classes the lowest. With the same coach, the format alone can move the per-class price by more than double.
03Whether assessment and a plan are includedSome programs include a proper movement assessment, posture analysis and a take-home plan; others are just the hour in the room. Worth asking before you buy.
04Location and venueNorthern rents push prices up; chain-gym training reflects venue overhead, while independent studios reflect the coach’s own pricing.
03

Your real options in Chiayi

Chiayi breaks down into roughly three kinds: chain-gym training, independent studios in the city, and community studios like ours out in Taibao. A chain’s strength is equipment and flexible hours; an independent studio’s strength is a fixed coach and a focused space. If you live around Taibao, Puzi or Shuishang, once you count the commute, “close to home” is itself a make-or-break factor in whether you keep training — results come from accumulation. The price of one class is only part of the cost; continuing is the rest.

05

You’re paying for time — and attention

Break down the price of a class and part of it is the space, the equipment, the coach’s time. But what really decides whether a class is worth it is how much of that time’s attention actually lands on you. In the same hour, one coach watches where you drive from on every rep and adjusts to how you are that day; another lets you count your own reps. The gap often hides right here — it just never makes it onto the price list.

06

Honestly, our prices will only keep going up

It wouldn’t sit right to write a pricing guide and hide our own prices, so here it is straight: Green Box’s one-on-one sits at the top of the central-south band, and it isn’t coming back down. That’s got nothing to do with wanting more money — a one-on-one hour where you’re the only person in the room, where your body’s actual state decides how you train, is the kind of attention that’s getting harder to find. Scarce things get more expensive. Specifically:

ACoaches hold international certifications — NSCA-CSCS, ACE-CPT, IHFI-CPT
BA full movement assessment before you start; the plan follows your body’s state
CA one-on-one slot is entirely yours — few people in the studio at once, no fighting for equipment
DLong-term plans bring the per-class price down to $1,300–1,400; we’d rather keep people willing to train 30 weeks or more — the body needs that timescale to change

The studio has three coaches, each with a different focus:

JoyceFunctional training, posture assessment, core stability — holds three international certifications: NSCA-CSCS, ACE-CPT, IHFI-CPT.
WenMovement integration, fascia release, craniosacral work.
JinStrength control, strength training, movement correction.
